I did some work for a company and i have not recieved payment yet, as i am a Natwest customer i thought it was due to a computer fault and told the bank i was expecting payment as was promised by the company, Natwest let me have money on the strength of this, i have since found out that the money has not even been processed yet even though i have been told for 3 weeks now it will be in my account on Friday, i called the company this morning 2nd July to tell them it never showed again on friday and was told the wages clerk has been on holiday, this company employs over 100 staff so i cant really accept that as an excuse, the bank is now chasing me for money and i am sure bank charges will occur DD's have not been met and a friend who kindly lent me some money is not very happy i cannot give it back as promised(today). Where do i stand with this company, how long do i have to wait, and can i pass on my bank charges to them. I signed a contract which stated terms of payment etc. Weekly pay due and i have had no money yet, i no longer work for them. Thanks:mad:

Other than keeping on at them to pay you there's not a lot you can do short of threatening to take court action, and if necessary going through with it. If the terms of payment specify a penalty if you don't get the money within a set time then you should be preparing to send a separate invoice for the penalty amount once you have been paid.0
