It changes nothing. The whole chain will be pushed to exchange quickly and to await completion at the builder's convenience.

Also you need to check whether this 18 weeks is any way guaranteed, by which I mean cost reimbursement or similar if it is delayed. It's by no means unknown for new builds to extend well beyond the date of expec ted completion, and people mr ally fail to agree measures to cover increase cost and inconvenience.0
