Pain after chiropractor adjustment

I suffer with shoulder pain so I went to see a Chiropractor and had my first appointment on Friday morning just gone.

I had the neck crunch thing both sides and also some back adjustments.

They told me that it might be a little sore, but i have had totally different aches to that of my usual pain. I have aches in my arms and hands and have felt very stiff around my neck and top of spine...

Is this normal, I'm concerned mote harm has been done than good :-(

You think it is possible that you might have incurred a spinal injury, yet you'll let yourself be convinced otherwise if someone on an Internet forum tells you they've felt a similar sensation?

I wonder why it is that threads asking for medical advice aren't allowed then :D

It's very common to actually feel quite a lot worse following chiropractic treatment. Although not everyone experiences it.

    Personally sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.

However having said that, if it's been 2 or 3 days and still no improvement, I'd suggest making another appointment.

I went to a chiropractor years ago following a slipped disc, and remember feeling, the next day like I had been dragged around by wild horses, before being run over by a bus!! Improved the day after that though!
