July Countdown to the Olympics

26 days to go and counting.
I have no interest in the Olympic sports, but as a Londoner am watching what happens to our fair city. I was out and about in town today and noticed all kinds of things that pass me by on my weekday commute - yes, London is well and truly geared up for the games now (bus drivers aside
), with omnipresent 2012 livery, wifi on the underground, signage for the Olympic park in place and motifs on central line carriages. The other thing I noticed was the attempted beautification of the Stratford Centre - literally the wrong side of the track - from this:

Any other observations on how London has changed in the countdown to the games?
