PC £399 in Lidl tomorrow

Is anyone going for this one tomorrow? I have a friend in NI who have different offers there and it doesn't include this particular one but I could have it delivered there for about £40.

  • Where in Edinburgh is Lidl? - I live in Edinburgh too, I still like the Dell Offer I copped last week ( the 177 quid CRT one )

Not sure how well the supplied graphics (Unichrome Pro Graphic Chip) performs and if it's upgradeable. Possibly important if anyone's cosidering it for games.

Erm, it's not that good a spec really, especially considering you don't get a monitor... Some dell deals in the past few weeks were definitely a lot better.
No reliance should be placed on the above.

Apart from the price-error Dell model, i don't agree. CRT monitors are 2 a penny and a lot of people already have a good monitor.

If you look at the value of all the extra/better items bundled with the LIDL model you soon realise a bargain. Try to price up a DELL with these items...
    e.g.
    160GB hard disk
    512MB RAM
16 speed Dual layer DVD burner
Built-in 8-in-1 card reader (useful for transferring digital camera pics)
    Firewire & USB2
    Digital Audio
2 year on-site warranty - that in itself is worth a lot compared to Dell!!
plus a ton of software that you may or may not want (incl. Encarta/Autoroute)
    and more...
