If you use a tablespoon or two of washing-soda then you will need to use a lot less laundry-detergent, possibly half or even a quarter of the usual dosage. Washing-soda is substantially cheaper than detergent

So its like a cheaper vesion of Calgon?

Can I use it in every wash, coloured, blacks & whites?

I think my water will be quite hard - Surrey.

Never thought to use anything extra, I use Ariel Gel & maybe some Ace if I have stained stuff & fabric con.

I usually put some of the Astonish equivelent of Oxy in with my wash whatever it is and a small amount of fabric softener and the detergent. But I am quite new to this(started using a washer in October)

I get good results with a brand sold in tesco's(liquid)Freshner and detergent are both only £1 each.

My clothes don't get really dirty and I tend to use the same selection as there's only myself to please and no one visiting(I bother a bit more when I go out)I tend to wear items to stay warm and avoid using the CH and that means casual or items like PJ's, jumpers, dressing gowns and something like tracksuit bottoms. I also save up my used clothes and do one big wash every three or four weeks to save using the electric.
