Soo after some discussion, my dad's offered to help out. He's offering to pay off our priority debts and one of the loans, mounting to £1300 which is great. He wants the paperwork for the debt so he can pay it straight off himself. He's said he doesn't want the money back but I don't want hand outs....
It's great that he's helping out, however means I've still got to put a debt of around £2500 on a debt management plan
(I don't mean to sound ungrateful)
Really not looking forward to the next month from what I've read from people about the first month of a DMP.

Hi,
Great of your dad to help out. You haven't hit a brick wall, you're moving forward at quite a pace! Try to focus on the positives not the negatives of the situation. You're going to have significantly less debt than you had - that's great. You're going to go on a dmp to help manage the rest - this is a good step. And the first month really isn't that scary - what is it that's worrying you?

So far all I've experienced from these payday loan companies is ruthlessness....I can't imagine the calls, texts, emails, demands eg just suddenly stopping because I inform them I'm on a DMP. If that makes sense...0
