Council tax query

Hi All

Just looking to see if I can claim back any council tax etc and I've followed all of the steps in Martins section on it, but I'm confused.

I'm a shared ownership person and all the prices I've compaired seem to be for a percentage of the value, so I don't know how to work out how much the percentage is and how much the total value of properties in my area really are.

When I bought my flat in 1999 it was "valued" at £55,000 by the Housing Association (although it seems that the last official valuation was in 1993 and was effective from 28/10/94) - my share was 25% thus my mortgage is for £13,750.

Is there any advice on how I can check in more detail (without going round asking my neighbours - although I'm sure there are a couple that would share their info with me)???

Thanks in advance.
