Cooking Pies

Hi,
I've just made a chicken and mushroom pie, using some of the chicken I got from a reduced roasted chicken at Tesco yesterday.
I'm just about to cook the pie, and remembered that I have a rhubarb and apple pie in the freezer that I made when I was given some rhubarb.
Would it be ok to put this fruit pie in the oven frozen so that I can cook it at the same time as the chicken pie, and make the most of the oven being on, or would I need to defrost it first? I thought that the pastry might go a bit soggy if I defrosted it?
Thanks!

I would just put them in at the same time to be honest.
I think pies that are frozen are always best done from frozen because like you say, defrost them and they will be soggy.
Enjoy...........make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Thank you, I've got some double cream in the fridge that I got with some reduced strawberries from Sainsbury's so I think that will be a lovely pudding!!
Today is now renamed Pie Day (just for the day!)0 -
Ooh, I'm just an old fashioned girl, it has to be custard with my

I think you could be right, custard would be better! I have a huge bag of custard powder I got from Approved Foods, will have to get it out...0

As a lovely surprise, it turned out to be an apple and strawberry pie, not rhubarb! I love that about having so many things in the freezer!0
