Completing.......

Monday :j

Well i would like to put a good story on here for all those who are searching for some positive feedback.

(there will be some of you who cringe at some of what i say/ done)

Well from offer to completion its taken 8wks and two days. :jwhich from what i have heard is good. might help we are FTB's and are currently in forces MQ and can vacate with only 2 wks notice although we cant move until december due to work comitments :( but at least our house will be ready ( painted etc etc not that we need to do anything to it, just personal touches) for us when we do.

Well we used a recommended countrywide Mortgage Advisor who was fantastic She kept us informed of every step and requirements needed but it was relitively smooth.

Mortgage was/is with Halifax. from application to offer was 6 days and two of them was a weekend :) valuation came in at the same price as we offered :) our LTV was 15 % with only £2000 debt on the credit card which we have had to clear as part of our offer.

Our solicistor was a local one who got used to me calling once a week for a progress report. there fees were about average but definatly liked the ability to pop in and to drop of and collect paperwork. any items that were posted were with me the next day.

Estate Agents -not really had any contact with them if i am honest apart from at the start on exchange day and obvioulsy will do on monday to pick up the keys. they seem good enough although they gave the wrong mobile number to the vendors solicitor :eek:and he ended up talking to me instead of his client they were trying to get hold of her via her hubby who has the same first name as mine. so i can see where the confusion come from.

Its has been not too stressful if i am honest is there anything i would do different........... No i cant think of enything probally if the house wasnt a 5 hr drive away have a second veiwing but its not essential Cant wait to see it again.

Well the car is packed with some essentails kettle tea coffee cleaning gear( although i have been told that the Vendors want to ensureits up to the militarys high standards,) loo roll towels etc etc.

im mega excited and cant wait to get up there.

well i gess the purpose of this is to point out although there are tons of negative reviews on loads of sites there are some good stories and experiances out there just not many people take the time to point it out. hope if your reading this you have found it usefull and good luck.
