Despite my finances being better than they have been for many years, Egg have just put my rate up by 5%!!
Needless to say I have been "in correspondence" with them over this but they will not budge.
The letter I got on Saturday says that my complaint is thrown out so I can go to the Ombudsman if I want. So that is exactly what I am doing today.....:D

Thanks Hypno and good luck!
I had wrote to Berk-lay card and had my own APR reduce by 1% but i didnt push for more as i was about to pay off the balance.
Hoping to get OH's balance down to something a bit tastier, instead of having to card tart which is the last thing we want to do0 -
I got 3% of my Barclaycard rate.Barclaycard 3800

Well im hoping Egg lower OH's APR, i no longer have my Barclaycard so theres no point going for another lowering on that.
Kept the account but no card... no spend!0 -

Hi there ancasta.
Egg reduced my credit card from 16% to 5.7% :T
This wasnt intentional on my behalf, I had some money on my horrible barclay card and they were offering 0% for 6 months, so i thought i might as well get my money off the egg card and get it on the barclay card for 0% for 6 months. In order for my to get the whole balance for 0% on both cards, I needed to move my barclay balance on the egg and transfer the whole lot back onto barclays.
I Phoned up egg, was being honest - i told them i wanted to increase my limit so i could get the barclay balance on there and move the lot over.....
The advisor i was speaking to went very quiet
He asked if i could hold the line and he would see what they can offer...
He got back to me and offered 5.7% for the life of the balance including the barclays with free transfer
So now i am paying 5.7% and have been doing for a year. Its worth a try!!!!
