Credit Report query

Not sure if this is the right place to post - please move if necessary

I have just checked my credit report online with CreditExpert (30 day free trial) and notice that I still have three credit card/store card loans showing with live balances.

I was made bankrupt in Feb 2005 and discharged in September 2005 and as far as I can remember, both of these accounts were included in the bankruptcy. They appear to have been sold too a debt recovery company, two are showing as defaulted in March 2003 and one on the date of bancruptcy in Feb 2005.

All other debts included in the bankruptcy are showing as satisfied but not these three.

The total debt comes to £4,459. I have not had any correspondence regarding these debts in the past two years. What do I do now?

Thanks in advance for all help/suggestions.

  • All should be marked as defaulted then “satisfied” from the date of the bankruptcy, raise a dispute with the CRA, or directly with the data controller who has made the entry
 It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them
  • Thanks - I've managed to get the phone number of the collection agency, do I just phone them direct and give them details of the bankruptcy, or should I write to them?
Sorry if these seem obvious questions but I thought that the bankruptcy had sorted it all out and this is a bit of a surprise to me.
