I have 2 accounts with NDR both from Shop Direct. A few months ago I rang them and they said they would set me up to pay X each month which I paid for 2 months. Yesterday I got a letter advising my payment wasn't acceptable and they want 4x more off me each month.
I rang to try and resolve this but they will not budge and said what I can afford to pay is too low. I advised they can not force me to pay more than I can afford to which she replied we can do what we like if you do not pay the amount I am asking for we will continue charging you £24 a month (non payment and collection letter) plus interest on the entire balance inc the charges.
I feel like im up against a brick wall, I will never be able to clear the balance at this rate but do not have enough spare income to pay what they are asking as I have other debts too.
