Lowell - Old debt

I apologise in advance if this is posted in the wrong area.
When i was 15 an ex boyfriend took out a littlewoods account in my name (not sure how he managed it with me being 15)
Nearly 5 years later parents have been receiving letters from lowell but sending them back as i dont live there. I have today received a letter myself stating i owe £408 to shop direct. I have checked my credit report and it does have a shop direct bit on it, but it shows with a green tick next to it. Im not sure if i should contact lowell or not?
Thanks in advance

You need to contact Lowell as this is who the account is with. Tell them you are disputing the debt as you never opened the account and have never received any goods from them and make sure you put it in writing. I managed to do this with a debt they had of mine for Very and got the entire balance of £873 wiped off.
Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.

Dispute it. Tell them what you have told us, that it was your ex bf.

And if the debt is not yours, don't agree to pay a penny towards it, not even to make them go away. Otherwise they will never leave you alone.

If you were 15 you couldn't have entered into a credit agreement.

agree with the above, write to them pointing out that you were 15 at the time & could not have an account with them. Their application process must be pretty crap.
