Anyone else miss Bournvita ?

I really miss my night time Bournvita and havn't been able to find it for years. Does anyone know if it is still made. Or do you miss it too ?

  • apparently you can purchase it abroad some foreign food shops might stock it There is another product similar called Milo in supermarkets but very overpriced

    from what I remember of Milo, its very sweet & not like Bournvita at all - but the last time I had it was years ago.

    **just had a look on spicesofindia & was shocked to see how sweet Bournvita was,I didn't remember as such - although in Milo the first ingredient is sugar!**
    I wonder if chocolate Ovaltine is anything similar?

    As far as I know it is only made in India, there is a Indian grocery chain around London (V B & Sons) who import the bournvita. I know as I have bought it from one of their stores.

  • my mum loved bournvita, she now drinks Milo and says it tastes the same. you can buy it in most of the big supermarkets and is just over £2 a tin i think

    Thanks got some in sainsbobs £2.99 and its certainly better than horlicks or ovaltine. I grow up on bournvita and if I'd known they were going to discontinue it I would have stockpiled.
