Yorkshire bank remortgage

Meant to ask in the last post, if my current mortgage deal ends in October, what is the earliest I can renew?

You can usually apply 3 months in advance to go onto a new deal when your current one expires. This is because I guess majority of the offers have an expiry of 90 days or so.

Depends on lenders, most have 6 months, even at 3 months, by the time the offer is issued you could be ok.

If you are looking at staing with YBS you wil need to check with them as to when you can apply for a further deal (if you go that route, check with other lenders/broker to ensure they are competitive)

The good thing applying 3/6 months in advance is that you would get the rate you got offer on. So if the rates hike up by the time you are moving you are still with the same rate you applied for.

The same also applies with your current lender. Just check with them what is on offer and if the range will increase nearer to the your current deal's expiry.
