Clear Adjustable Bra Straps colouring problem - one for the ladies

Options
Hi all,

My girlfriend uses clear adjustable bra straps when she goes dancing. However, after several hours dancing, the sweat will make the colour of her dress colour the clear bra straps.

At the moment I am putting them in a Dettol solution but it doesn't appear to have any effect.

What other methods can I use to get rid of the colour out of the bra straps?

Also, are there any that don't have this problem.

My girlfriend uses the ones from Debenhams labelled Clear Adjustable Bra Straps Dreamshapers.

Thanx

What a nice boyfriend you are!

I have never had any joy with these bra straps and have stopped using them altogether. I find them a bit of a nuisance as they do discolour and they aren't as 'invisible' as they are made out to be.

Not sure what you can do with them.

Are you able to bleach them? They're not overly expensive to buy, £3 from Marks and Spencer. Never got on with them myself, tend to stick. You're very thoughtful!

How do you get the thumb print out of your forehead should be a better question. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanx. Will look into it. I am also trying Domstos bleach. I assume that this is already stronger than the M&S bleach? But it doesn't appear to have much of an effect.

    What a sweetie you are!

I find that the plastic parts on clear straps break alot so I but replacement straps from Asda (£1.25 per pair I think) which isn't too bad and it might just be better for her to buy new ones.

Maybe the outfit that she wears is quite new and shedding lots of colour? If thats the case it shouldn't be too bad once its been washed a few times.

I find them hard to wear as well so only do when I have to - I have a few pairs from Asda as well.

I did see a pair of jewelled straps at a school fete recently that were really pretty (but they were £16!!). You have just reminded me to have a look on EBay to see if I can get them cheaper and sure enough - I can so thanks for that! If you can't get them clean, perhaps you could buy a new pair as a surprise..
