i have a camera outside and the landlord has other cameras videoing the apartment and car park, so i will have proof of everything he does outside or in the hall ways, i will stay as calm as i can i just get very shaky about people banging on my door, and its guarenteed to be a man isnt it0

You will be ok, write to council and explain why you have not been paying and offer what you can realistically afford. Dont let that bully bailiff scare you any more ok.0

Thanks alot for your advice i'll get everything done monday morning once the council office reopens and get the letter wrote over the weekend, i'll let you know how i get on0

For further advice you can ask Herbie21, who is an expert on bailiffs
They have a website here

Herbie21 has some good advice maybe, but people who are struggeling with paying debts/bills are being hit by a £10 fee which is a lot of money if you havent got it, premium rate numbers can mount up quickly and again cost money via a phone bill. People who are in difficulty are fearful of losing their personal things by bailiffs so advising someone for free is the best option.0

Absolutely agree that people shouldn't be asking advice from people who charge £10 for the pleasure. Is a bit like that benefits and works site that charges people for information.August-September 2017: Lots of stuff

I have received a letter heading Hillesden Securities Ltd v myself from a company called Marston who are chasing a debt over 17 years ago which was due to me leaving a negative equity property and Hillesden who are claiming I owe £46,871.06. Today i received a letter from Marston's stating they would visit on 17/4, to seize and remove sufficient of goods to satisfy this writ. My worry about this firm marstons having checked them out is that they say they are an High Court Enforcement officers, my wife is worried sick and whilst we both work full time and have two teenagers the last thing i need at age 52 in my life is this, and in reacting to the threatinging tone of the letter i phoned them up and agreed to pay £100 to stop them from coming to seize goods. The chap whom i spoke to stated to visit their web site and request an income and expenditure form. However i phoned the national debt line in the meantime to seek advice and they mentioned about quoting the Limitations Act. My dialema here is that 11 months agao i was summoned to court by "DLC" aka Hillesden Stating that i owed the money. I couldnt afford legal advice and i admited that yes i owed the money but couldnt afford to pay the total debt and agreed to pay Dlc £10 per month. This is now being dealt with this Marston's company and im trying to find out if i have any legal ground with this limitations act...? can anyone help and very greatful if you can0

You need to start your own thread. And you need proper legal advice as we cannot see the documents. Your actions 11 months ago may well have compromised the situation regarding the Statute of Limitation which should have removed your responsibility for this debt by now.
Trying to save a few quid may cost your thousands, so please go and see a proper lawyer now.I have received a letter heading Hillesden Securities Ltd v myself from a company called Marston who are chasing a debt over 17 years ago which was due to me leaving a negative equity property and Hillesden who are claiming I owe £46,871.06. I've had a letter from the Manchester Courts telling me I owe £280 from a fine I had in 2008. I paid this fine off to Marston Group in 2009 at the same time as another fine they were chasing me for. The payments show up on my bank statement but I can't say how they divided up the payments between the two debts. I have contacted Martons and they say that they handed over the file to the court and can't tell me anything about my payments and the Manchester Court told me I needed to speak to Marstons. I really don't want to pay the fine twice and want to know where I go to from here. Has this happened to anyone else and is there any advice out there? :mad:0
