that is perhaps £60 max, and efficient.
I'd love to hear what you find good.
Many thanks in advance

My friend just replaced an iron and is amazed at what it offers it for the low price (less than £10, as I recall) - from Tesco.0

For reasons which I can't quite explain I've never owned an iron which wasn't a Morphy Richards. The current one is at least a decade old and still going strong. To be honest, theer's not much to choose between any of them. What you're asking the appliance to do is very simple and there's no moving parts to wear out. I'd just go for the cheapest steam-iron I could find.0

Have had many irons (Morphy Richards,Krups,Tefal, Philips over the years as I seem to kill them with amazing regularity!!! Currently using a Bosch Sensix B7 which has outlasted anything else I have ever had.
Comfortable weight, great steam generation, really easy rear fill for the water,a sole plate that never seems to get dirty and best of all it switches itself off when I forget to!!
Have had it about 4/5 years now and anyone who has ever used it thinks it's a great iron.Think it was about £45/£50 from John Leiws.
When I eventually kill this one it will definitely be another Bosch0 -
as this has dropped down the OS board, ive moved it to the I wanna board
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.
ZipA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
