Mortgage on Maisonette with access via balcony

I have had an offer accepted on a property, I went in to the Agents so they could qualify my offer with the broker, when he saw the picture of property he said I could have an issue with getting a mortgage, as the front doors are along a walkway so lenders don't like this for security reasons.
Is this correct? I have googled and can't find any info. I am most likely to be applying with Halifax, this is the flat:

Hi there,
I actually do not agree, may be a sales technique but not sure.
I did a remortgage for one of your block neighbours and the revaluation was fine. The postal code has held its value relatively well as this was only last year.
Was Halifax your selection or the Agents?
Whilst I like Halifax service and flexibility, they are not close to having decent products.I am a Mortgage Broker

'Open deck access' is an issue with many lenders - placed one last year but had to go hunting (can remember Halifax's stance as we generally don't go there and suspect we got a better provider before getting to them)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I had already picked Halifax as though they are fairly bad rates they are generous with what they will lend to me, have had my mortgage with them before, the broker couldn't find better for my situation. Have sent an email direct to Halifax as had already got a mortgage promise so had a contact, he hasn't replied yet.
Others have sold in the blocks there so surely some of them have mortgages, especially as you did a remortgage. Yes prices hold there (unfortunately), been hoping to pick up a bargain but very little comes on the market at the lower end.Quidco: Paid £2,244.90

All to do with the local schools in terms of demand eh!!!
I still believe there are better alternatives but Halifax should be ok...I am a Mortgage Broker
