I got the 1.5kg version and its great but occasionally does beep when the stirrer doesn't spin round properly at start. Just put food and set timer and nothing else

If these are old stock white versions, then be wary - look at the 1 star reviews on amazon - 76 of them - not an inconsiderable number. I think the black versions were upgrades and have a much better rep.

Had one of these, didn't particularly rate it, takes up a lot of worktop space, and more washing to do, also pretty slow at actually cooking things - however chips did come out nice.
I don't understand what the difference is with putting chips etc in the oven rather than using this.
