Short speech for Diamond Anniversary

I`m hoping one of you can come up with a short speech for my in-laws Diamond Anniversary tomorrow....My husband (it`s his Parents)...needs to say a short speech, but hates talking in public, so the shorter than better please....
OK, it needs to mention the parents....NORMAN & VERA...
the bridesmaids were Normans sister, bridesmaid 'A' and Veras sister, bridesmaid 'B'...they both will be attending, (still alive). Would like to mention the best man which was Veras brother.... and the fact he is no longer with us but we do often think of him and hope he is looking down on us and sharing this happy occasion....
Somewhere also mention the son and daughter and thank the parents for such a wonderful and caring upbringing and providing both children with support whenever it was needed....
We (son and daughter)..hope that this day is as wonderful as it was 60 years ago...congratulations to you both....may you all now join in raising your glasses to toast Vera and Norman, hope you have many more happy years to share together....
Something like that please, help urgently needed.....party is tomorrow...(eek!!)

You've practically written it yourself!! I thought speeches were just for weddings, not anniversary parties, it always sounds a bit false i think when someone is talking about someone else like that.0
