Put a foreigner in a mortgage?

I have been declined from 2 lenders because it seems that my income is not enough to have 21k.

I was wondering if it will be possible to make a join claim with my father (that lives and is resident in italy) to up a bit the income.

Any experience?

Won't be acceptable to a lender.

Keep saving so that you can put a bigger deposit down.
  • This is the situation:
    house price 30.000
    mortgage i required 21.000

Do you think that if for example i ask to have just 15.000 or so(and put 15k deposit), something will change?

    What is your income?

No chance of adding your dad.

Others will confirm, but I think many lenders have a minimum level which they will lend, so it may be that if you are applying for a mortgage of £15K, the amount is too low to fit their criteria.

True with some lenders but not everyone.

Should the question not be, where is this property for £30k?

You do not need your Father on the mortgage. This case can likely be done in your name.

Speak to a good broker (not a call centre type company).
