Unauthorised Credit searches on my report

Hi,

I just signed up with checkmyfiles and am viewing searches made to callcredit.

I have taken several pay day loans but I have 'credit searches' from a company called Cim Technologies Limited. There is no initial 'enquiry' check recorded just 'credit check' I googled them and it says they are 'fairy finance' who I know I have never used or applied to.
Looking back they have been credit searching me about 5 times since june 2011 up until May when suddenly on 24th May (which happens to be the day I get paid!) they credit searched me 8 times!

I now really need a loan and I'm worried how this will impact my chances of approval. I read a poster say that multiple searches made by the same company in the same period don't count but I want these removed and this company to leave me alone. I've considered that Cim Technologies Limited have other payday trading names, that I have indeed used and it comes up as Cim Technologies Limited every time. I'm sure this is not so however, because then it would come up in the months I've used payday loans during 2012 and not this sudden 8 credit searches in a row on my payday in May.

Should I contact Fairy Finance a.k.a Cim Technologies Limited by phone and complain? I want to apply for a personal loan in 10 days and would love this to be sorted, I'm very angry about it.

Please let me know what to do and how badly these people affected me. I am yet to see my Experian report to find how bad that is for searches and that's the one most lenders check. Equifax have none of these searches, no searches every really go on equifax I've noticed.

Many thanks.

Is there any chance that fairy finance are part of the same group as another PDL ?

I know its not what you were after but whats the loan for ?

I've been renewing payday loans for several months now just getting by until my NBS loan is all paid off (tomorrow) when that gets reported to experian I want a loan to consolidate my payday debt of £4500 and pay off some family and rent debt of about £1500.

I don't think fairy finance can be associated with any other groups I use. But I intend to phone them and find out.

So in the past year you have used PDL's 5 times then, is there a reaason why 5 times ?

The idea of fairy finance was a theory i had that they were linked to another PDL.

With a credit file polluted with Payday Loans, any loan you do get offered is going to come with a hefty interest rate.
Everyone can see you cannot make your wages last from one month to the next, so will see you as a high risk to lend to.

Did you repay all your Payday Loans on time? I don't mean repayment plans, did you pay it all back at the time it was due to be taken?

Who have you done business with? which Payday Lenders?

From what you have said about your file I'd think these searches are unlikely to cause much more of an issue than the fact that you owe such a massive amount in payday loans. I'd think it would be likely to make it very hard to get a new loan sufficent to consolidate them all.

If you are certain you have not ever applied for a loan with Toothfairy finance / CIM Technologies or any other associated company, and you are certain you haven't entered your details into a loan broker site and given a blanket permission for lenders you search your file - then contact the credit reference agency and state that they are unauthorised and you want them removing. They'd then likely check with the company in question to see if they can demonstrate you did give permission at some point.
