Would anyone not believe that it is in the realms of possibilty that the property market is rigged.
In what way?0 -
If fraud (which is a criminal offence) is obtaining pecuniary advantage by deception, then why isn't manipulation of LIBOR a criminal offence that should see these traders and the senior managers who instructed them locked up for a few years?
Can someone with a legal brain explain this to me please?
in the UK there would first be a 5 or 6 year investigation with a few people then being charged
the case would drag on for a further year or two before it was discovered that the prosecution had accidentally forgotten to disclose some evidence
the judge would then declare a mistrial and everyone would go home without a stain on their character.0 -

Its where he is going to go work next is the bigger worry....old (dodgy) habits are hard to break.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0 -

Maybe his mate Mandy would be able to help him. Mandy allegedly coached him ahead of his appearance in front of a Commons committee back in January, 2011. Funny that, because Mandy had earlier called him the "unacceptable face of banking" :think:There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more...0 -
LOL love it. Labour are straight onto attacking osbourne, suggesting they didn't know about this statement until 2 minutes before it happened
They want the police and special fraud investigations bought in. She asks George why this was not regulated, but labour granted the powers.
She's now trying to stand up for the mortgaged homeowners, suggesting they have lost out to market fixing, and should be able to look to compensation.
Trouble is, as all parties know, there is no party in the right here. They are just asking questions of each other that they know can't be answered. Labour are trying to focus all this on the time when the colaition were in power and saying the coalition is at fault for not preventing it.
Unfortunately, most of it happened on their watch.0 -
