'Best Regards' from HM Revenue and Customs??
I don't think so somehow.0 -
These fake HMRC emails have been doing the rounds for a number of years."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Tax refunds are always notified to you by post, never by e-mail.I am an Accountant. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as an Accountant. All posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and should not be seen as professional advice.0

Scam. Scam. Scam.
Hovering over the 'sign in' bit takes you to a russian website where they'll have a fake portal to take your details and then they'll drain your bank account.0 -
What worries me is, you were only "fairly sure" it was a scam...0

If you've received the "payment into your internet account", then logic would suggest that it is there, as opposed to pending some further action.
Of course it isn't and you aren't going to get the payment.
I got one of those mails to, to a business address, so why would HMRC sent the mail there and not to my personal one that I use when I submit returns?
So yes, it is a scam!0
