Completely pointless & useless post.

Just interested to know why the OP used 'pounds' rather than £. It just seemed unusual.

Are we sure this is the new Casino Royale 2disc version for £7??????
The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.

When i was studying business at college - i signed up for asda press alerts so i recieved an email from asda website regarding info that was titled "ASDA Press Alerts <asdapress@asda.co.uk>"

I have copied the email i recieved earlier this morning:-

    "Sunday 18th March, 2007
ASDA PRICE FOR NEW BOND BLOCKBUSTER IS “LICENSED TO THRILL”
Casino Royale DVD set to hit supermarket’s shelves at 007 pounds for 007 days.

ASDA is set to put the bootleggers out of business by selling the DVD of the latest Bond blockbuster – Casino Royale – for 007 pounds for 007 days when it goes on sale tomorrow morning (Monday 19th March).

The £7 price tag is set to leave customers and the DVD industry shaken and quite possibly stirred, as the supermarket is entering uncharted territory by launching at such an incredibly low price.

Previously the lowest prices have sunk on big new release DVD titles is to just under a tenner.

As one of last year's top ten UK box office hits, the recommended retail price for the Casino Royale DVD is a whopping £22.99.

It will be available in ASDA stores across the UK and Northern Ireland for £7, saving customers millions of pounds.

ASDA has ordered in hundreds of thousands of copies of the DVD to cope with customer demand and is expecting it to fly off the shelves when stores open their doors tomorrow morning.

To celebrate t he launch, ASDA will also be giving away a free copy to the first suitably attired Daniel Craig look-a-like to turn up at each of its stores.

The supermarket will also be selling ten movies from the James Bond DVD back catalogue, including Bond classics Diamonds are Forever and The Spy Who Loved Me, at £7 each during the coming week (19th-25th March).

ASDA's very own Bond, chief executive Andy Bond said: “With a price like this, we're definitely 'licensed to thrill' our customers.

“We also want to explode the myth that online retailers give people the best deal when it comes to music, games and video - it's simply not the case.

"Our customers can rest assured we'll always give them the best value in town.”

In a further boost to its music, games and video credentials, 10,000 PlayStation 3 games consoles will go on sale in ASDA's stores on Friday (23rd March) to coincide with the UK launch.
This is the first time the supermarket has secured PlayStation consoles at launch. ASDA has also become the first supermarket to give customers the chance to place a pre-order to guarantee they won't be disappointed when PS3 goes on sale at the end of the week.

    Notes for Editors
The £7 Casino Royale DVD is the latest product to be featured as part of ASDA's 'Why pay more' campaign which highlights products where the supermarket is delivering unbeatable value on popular, everyday products for its 13 million customers. Last month PlayStation 2 games consoles were on sale at just £49 and, in January, Britain's lowest priced DVD player hit ASDA’s shelves at a staggering £9.
The Casino Royale DVD will be on sale at £7 in every ASDA store with a music, games & video department from Monday 19th March until Sunday 25th March inclusive
The following titles from the Bond DVD back catalogue will be available for £7 each from Monday 19th to Sunday 25th March inclusiv e: Diamonds Are Forever, Die Another Day, Dr No, From Russia With Love, Golden Eye, Live And Let Die, The Spy Who Loved Me, Thunderball, Tomorrow Never Dies and The World Is Not Enough"

this is a great film and the price is even better, daniel craig is so yummy lol, i wonder if tesco still does price match im looking around and the the average price is £14.97 :(
  • Well I would go and buy one at this price, but from the looks of it, people will just be buying more copies than they actually need and flogging them on

I hope its STRICTLY 1 copy per customer..... I always lose out on offers like this due to people being greedy
