the .co.uk is to a commercial site that has nothing to do with state pensions.
Thanks!
I was trying to be helpful, honest!
I meant https://www.thepensionservice.org.uk.

My main pension is with the C.I.S with profits fund
I'd have thought you should consider moving this one altogether, the CIS has little in the way of useful funds.the second pension is the Scottish Widows Pensionbuilder, charges not known.
With this one, check the charges and ask for a full list of the funds you can invest in, especially external funds. If this one is good, possibly you could move the CIS one in to join it.Trying to keep it simple...

The reason I took out the C.I.S policy was to avoid having all my eggs in one basket but I will take your advice and look into transfering it. Thanks for all your help.EdInvestor wrote: »It's actually .gov.uk

My experience with CIS plans is that the older personal pension plans have low charges but are on zero bonus. The new stakeholder plans use a ringfenced unitised with profits fund with slightly better returns but nothing that a balanced managed fund would be expected to beat over the long term.
