P60 from previous employer?

Has anyone managed to get a P60 from a previous employer some time after finishing with them? I didn't receive my P60 from my last job and haven't worked for that company for over a year now. Will they still have a copy of my P60?

You say you haven't worked for them for over a year.

That would make the date you left before 5 April, so you wouldn't have got a P60 as you weren't employed by them at the end of the tax year. You should have been given a P45 when you left showing your pay and tax up to the date you left.

If you don't have anything you can contact them and ask for a statement of earnings. This should be acceptable if you are asked to produce documents by HMRC
