Quick question me and my partner both work PT i claim child/working tax credits and child benefit.
If he goes bankrupt how do we work out his income?? do i halve the tax credits or are they classed as mine as the three children are not his??
very confused!!

Hi,
Child benefit can only be awarded to one person, so I would allocate that to you in full.
Tax credits, if you have a partner, must be a joint claim, so I would place 50% of the child / working tax credits to each of you.
