Surprised no threads on MSE about ceramicore pans

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=ceramicore

I saw the advert on TV and it looks impressive.

Nonstick pans eventually lose their non stick coatings and effectively you are eating the flaked off worn non stick coating with your food.

This ceramicore claims to not wear away.

Question is what does the consumer who has bought them have to say about them?

Ok so it seems there are different makes, safepan ceramic etc etc I'd never heard of this ceramic non stick before, has anyone got one of any make?

Sorry just wanted to bring this topic back up - also watched the TV promo and it seems to be too good to be true!!
Surely there must be some mse users with experience of these pans that can pass on their experiences with them.
It's surprising the lack of reviews - positive or negative for them!!

not quite the same brand as your post. I've had it two years,,,,the coating does not flake, chip or scratch but the pan is no longer non stick. you have to use some oil to prevent meat and / or eggs sticking
Dont know if i would bother buying another
  • They also show an Aluminium base - but say its o.k for Induction hobs.

    Anyone explain please ?
  • The pans look good. My daughter is allergic to PFTE (Teflon) - only found out when she started her insulin pump. They use the same PFTE in cannulas. She also has Coeliac disease and I've found a few people with Diabetes and Coeliac are also allergic to Teflon.
I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:
  • You also have to watch what you cook in them - I now know from bitter and expensive experience that chorizo is a bit of a no-no!

It will have steel in the base. :)
