clover in jam making

Hi,
Has anyone used clover instead of butter when making jam?
I forgot to buy butter and we use clover most of the time
Treat other's how you like to be treated.

And now I have the joy of having my foster granddaughter becoming my real granddaughter. Can't ask for anything better

UPDATE,
As of today 180919. my granddaughter is now my official granddaughter, adoption finally granted

    i have never heard of butter being used when making jam

    Adding butter or margarine would make a kind of toffee, I think?

    as long as it's not the 'lite' version I shouldn't imagine it'd make much, if any, difference

    but like the others I've never heard of butter being used in jam making

    Oh right so OP just means that little bit you put in at the end, yes i'm sure clover would be fine IMO
