what's the best way to improve my credit rating?

I've done everything I can to clean up my credit rating on experian which is now very good. Would I be able to apply for a credit card so that I could build up my credit score if I was bankrupt 4 years ago? Already had a creditbuilder mastercard and paid this every month but can't get even the slightest amount of credit and daren't apply too often because this looks bad.

Have you checked to make sure equifax and call credit reports are clean too, not just experian?

You could try for a high interest rate credit card from vanquis or capital one, spend a bit on it and pay it off in full every month so not to get stung by the interest rate. You will then start building green ticks on your reports.

Also a sim only mobile contract will help as well.
