How long to get offer letter

Hi all,

I had a interview recently on 21 June. On the same day evening
I was given a verbal job offer conditional on references. They also mentioned that I will recieve my offer letter within 2 days.

Still now I did not recieve any offer letter. I also wrote a thank you email acknowledging the job offer to the panel members and did not recieve any reply to the email also.

I am now worried that did they have a change of mind?
How long will it usually take to get offer letter after verbal job offer.

Hello

I can understand your frustration, but it has only been three days (two really).I am sure the are busy getting themselves organised and may be the letter is already in the post.

I think it depends on the company: with my last one, I started work so quickly after the offer that never saw anything in writing until almost a month after (and this was after me chasing HR myself to get a contract).

As it happens, am waiting for a phone call to agree my starting date too, although I got an email after the phone call with the offer almost straight away. I can't wait to get the proper contract.
Hang in there, I am sure it will be fine. I would give them a couple of days before chasing again...
