Mortgage PPI

In 2001 I had a mortgage with northern rock for nine months.

Northern Rock Head Office wrote to me few weeks ago saying I had an account with them (mortgage) that had ppi on it and they asked me to fill in with information and send back.

I had never written to them so it was out of the blue, so ive sent it back and realised that part of my mortgage £6k of it was unsecured and must have had ppi on it that I didnt know about.

As I had the mortgage for only nine months and moved house and changed to nationwide - what amount should I be looking at as money back if I due some?

Assuming they agree it was mis-sold or decide to auto pay out, the amount will likely be tiny. Typical premiums on MPPI are in the £20-£40 range. So, 9 months isnt going to get you many payments. Plus if yours was one of them that had x months free (i seem to recall they did a few offers like that) then it will be even less.
