Template letter ... silly question!

Hi Guys!
It's been a while since I posted and am now doing so to do a little research to help the other halfs (should that be halves?!)situation! Still lurking away but can't seem to find an answer to what I presume is probably a stupid question (sorry about that)!
I can't find the thread I saw the template letter on, but its to do with F&F settlement and its the one where you are making the offer. There is a bit where you need to add details of your circumstances and financial situation. My question is what kind of detail and information is it necessary to go into? I tend to waffle on myself and don't think the CC company will be wanting the other half's life story but I just wondered how much detail should we be going into here (or should I say he)?
Thanks in advance for any answers (and if you do answer, please can you word it as if you are talking to a complete numpty in as much detail as possible please
I might get it then!:rotfl:)
