We have recently moved to Australia on a temporary visa, with transfer from my husband 6 yr uk employer. We want a mortgage for 40% LTV on a Uk property. Who will provide a mortgage to us while we live and earn in the Australia? We will rent the house in the UK till we come home in 1- 2 yr time, also do we need a buy to let mtg?

Lloyds Spearhead will do this sort of application, we are doing one at present for a client in Australia.
Am not sure if they only deal via brokers though. I think there are a couple of others too.
A broker should be able to advise
(its not a buy to let mortgage - though you are able to let the property until you return - usually for 2/3 years)0
