Learn Direct? Sort of urgent.

Good morning

I did ask this on another post but it must have got overlooked.

Groupon are currently running an offer regarding Learn Direct and a Sage course, I have heard mixed reviews about Learn Direct and wondered if anyone had any opinions about them ie is the course worth it?

http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/national-deal/Learndirect/7192144 this is the offer, is 20 hours enough to pick something up?

I have done double entry bookkeeping in the past but Sage has totally passed me by as I haven't needed to do it for a good few years.

There is only one day left on the offer so any advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
P3

Hi, I was just Google-ing reviews and this came up. Did you buy?

We did and are disappointed. What it fails to tell you in the small print is that you really need access to Sage from another source in order to do the course! great business revenue for Sage imagine the number of programs it's clearing of the shelf.

It maybe interactive but so far the course instructs you do insert a CD-Rom of Sage and follow on-screen interactive/video type instructions it isn't very helpful when u don't actually have a copy of Sage and most company's would have handy computer bod to do this.

My son is 19 and was using it to start learning to do accounts in the various sage programs. The cheapest copy of Sage I can find is for about £60 in order to make this bundle any real use.

How ever he is happy with the language course he also brought although similar to the free site Bussu and there premium which is cheaper anyway.

I wouldn't buy these course at full price and would not recommend Sage courses unless you have the program and no tecky bod to help.

This offer is on again, I was tempted to buy it. Glad I searched here first.

Unless anyone else has any other feedback?

I didn't get it in the end as the deal ran out, although was looking at it again this morning... I do have access to Sage here at work, but idea was to do this at home.

Be interested to see some other reviews.
