Inevitably over such an issue people argue the side they believe in, finding facts to support their view, rather than looking at the facts before coming to a conclusion.

While not perfect I found the Wikipedia entry on "Health issues and the effects of cannabis" pretty objective and worth a read.

legal version of what? i can assure you that that stuff is nothing like cannabis

This to me says it all....

I don't smoke anymore, I find it boring and tedious. But I have no issue with other people smoking compared to what I see alcohol doing to the good people of this country.

Less an argument for cannabis being good for you, more about how stupid it is to be illegal. I did come accross a much better page like this before now, but i've forgotten where it is.(must be all the cannabis)

I'm not sure which post i read, but its up there somewhere about cannabis causing cannabis. Thats !!!!!!!!, there is no medical link between the tar and cancer. The only thing that is linked is the nicotine. So yes, if your going to smoke a joint with tobacco then you may get cancer. But not from the weed.
