Well bang goes my meal tonight, mum said she'd look after my daughter but my daughter came home from school covered in a rash all over her face, took her to doctors and they're saying she's got scarlet fever.
I've never heard of anyone getting that these days.
    :(

There's so much making a comeback now, scarlet fever, rickets, tb, all sorts. Hope she feels better soon :-)
My DS nursery had a breakout of scarlet fever a few months ago...I also didn't realise it was so common now. Hope she recovers quickly..

Morning everyone. An unusual early post for me. Sat on sofa with DS watching Thomas the Tank , poor little poppet is still unwell so no work again for me today. After our emergency doctors visit yesterday, he was worse if anything. His cold has gone to his sinuses, making his left eye swell and go purple underneath. This morning, it was closed and looks like he's been in the boxing ring. It's dreadful to look at but is open a tad now and he can see out of it i think
Hopefully, he's on the road to recovery though as we only had to get up twice in the night to him (as opposed to 4 or 5 times the night before). I have to catch up from p14 so will be back shortly.
    Hope everyone is ok.
There's nothing worse than when they're ill, you just wish you can stop it for them. Hope he's better soon.

I don't know if I am allowed to but I wanted to share this with you. This guy was one of the torch bearers in the next town to me. WARNING do not watch if you are emotional. To me this guy is a hero, some may disagree but he showed so much courage and he is an inspiration to never give up :A

    Evening
I just nipped to T's for fly spray and am gob smacked by two women. Lady 1 I don't need any of this reduced stuff but I can't help myself, I'll probably bin it but it only costs pennies.
Lady 2 I know I'm the same it's just the fun of buying it, most of mine goes in the bin. I come every night because I enjoy it.
:mad::mad: Both women had trollies full of whoopsies, so selfish:( Other people in the area really need the reductions:mad::mad::mad:

I am now eating garlic mushrooms thanks to all the talk today:DFreddiesFlyersTwo my kids keep looking at me because I'm laughing so much at your jokes thank you.
Cattysmum glad your eye op was successful. Hugs to Tigerwhites DS and Bootsalebargains DD hope they both feel better soon. 3Dogs hugs to you both and hope Alan is settled at the hospital now, take care of yourself to.

thats a terrible attitude, some people don't think. Mr meerkat was caught up on the accident on the m62 on sat morning through the roadworks with no hard shoulder and there were lots of emergency services trying to get through. people kept pulling back into the outside lane, to make headway but by doing so blocked the emergency crews, so dh blared the horn at a car full of young men to get out of the way, they started swearing at him (not that he wasn't swearing at them mind you) and the passenger said 'what difference does one more ambulance make?' it was a 4 vehicle pile up for goodness sake you selfish man!!!! i'm sure it would be different if it was his own family
    Baby meerkat...born 9.10am 31/1/12 - now a fully fledged monster meerkat.
New Baby meerkat due 09/09/2013 :)
