    (glad all went well)

    Dirty minded lot :D

Theme was Roman. Loads of props, must have been a great party ( and extremely expensive @ W1 post code ).

Was a bit late going for whoopsie run this evening as sis and BIL popped in as I was about to head out of the door. Still managed a few bakery bits and some flowers to brighten the place up. Used some CC vouchers that arrived for OH this morning also as had been sent some for nappies and Johnsons which both have offers on. :)

Anyway, will call it a night now. Going to have a soak in the bath and then go to bed. Goodnight all x

how did that work then? taking coupons for not actually buying the product??! seems crazy:o

Yep, rules were only one of each coupon per transaction. No duplicates, no photocopies.

A visit to the good food show could easily yield over £1000 worth of coupons. Local papers used to do full page spreads of coupons resulting in people buying literally 2 or 300 copies of the paper....usually from tesco with other coupons!!!

I recall one magazine "pregnancy and bith" having something like 20 or 30 quids worth of hugies and pampers vouchers in it with each magazine costing about 4 quid. some people bought 70 or 80 copies of the magazine.

Oh and the huggies starter kits in asda.....the ones tht are 3 quid in the baby fair. Oh those were being bought by the car load! :rotfl:

I've still not forgiven martin for bringing that to an end!!:mad:
I reckon a percentage of his £86m wouldn't hurt for my pain and mental anguish ever since!

To bring back a few memories ....

    Email from 2006
    Dear neosi

    Thank you for your email.

I have detailed below some information on the acceptance of coupons in our stores which I hope will help you.

All Tesco specific coupons display the Tesco logo. We'll only accept these at the till if you buy the product shown on the coupon at the time.

We're happy to accept a non-Tesco product coupon even if you don't buy the item. But, the coupon must be in date and the store must sell the product. If you present more than one identical coupon you need to purchase the same number of products. This also includes coupons printed from the Internet, but these will only be accepted at the discretion of the Store Manager.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

    Kind Regards

    Tesco Customer Service

you such a load of chatter boxes:rotfl:

i know everyone wasn't happy but everything changes over time.
hopefully you find thread ok to use still and small changes useful.

I remember the coupon thread back then

It was a bit like here when you would log on in the evening and there would be pages and pages from that day

It started to get a bit nasty on there for some reason and then when the chat thread started up it was never the same. Still have a peep on there every now and again and have to say
that Myrtle Turtle has always done a great job

Found my way to the lovely Elite world purely by accident. Nothing was going on one day and so i popped the word glitch into the search bar. Guess what happened :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Yeah the work MT does on there is amazing, so MT is your reading on here then :T:T for you :D It was a shame the way it went, but that's life I suppose and these things happen :)
