You can go to T's bakery and order however many baguettes you want and they will put them to one side when they come out of the oven. Mine have a diary that they put your name, number and what you want to order in.
Also for all you foragers you can go to the bakery and ask for the bread crumbs from the slicer (good for all sorts of things including the birds)
and they also give away fresh yeast if you ask for it.;)
Thank you :A0 -

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.0 -
Evening all.. following my short catch up this morning had a busy day in the garden. 5 hours great exercise and cheaper than the gym!
Loving the recipes, will try these next week.
Jumblejack ...I would love some tips on foraging from you, we get a lot of mushrooms in the garden but I am always worried about using them..might feed to DH as a test .
Picked the first strawberries of the year today and had these with some ice cream after tea....bring on the warm weather as the rest of the stuff in the garden is struggling.
Off to catch up hope I manage before I nod off !If it's full price I don't buy it..if its 50% off I will consider it..if it's whoopsied and I have a coupon its in the trolly!0 -

, first time I poked her and told her to stop it, second time I poked her harder called her a name and told her to stop, third time I smacked her across the head so hard as she went down she took 14 others with her like domino's

And Rosynbach, do you live in heaven?!?
night all! Happy football for those supporting Spain! I don't mind, (I'm with you Enterprise) I made lasagne while others watched :T
i am very very lucky, we have managed to buy odd fields within 5 mins of the house over the last 10 years so have built up gradually, with the addition to having a secluded beach with private path and good fishing under 5 min walk your right it is heaven :j0 -

jumblejack wrote: »It's a Richard Mabey recipe from his book that I love to capture on foraging pics
Basically collect a couple of cups of rose petals (wild not cultivated as the wild ones are much thinner and process easier). I mean 2 cups crammed full!
Dissolve 2 cups sugar in half a cup of water mixed with a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice.
Stir in rose petals and stir over a low heat for 30 mins.
Cool a little then pour into sterile jars.
You may choose to keep the petals in or remove them. I tried both:
If you do not strain them out, they rise to the top and look really pretty!
Wow this looks amazing. Looks gorgeous with the petals left in
Thank you:)
