Just had a phone call from the hospital, they have cancelled taking mum over to Bournemouth a routine eye appointment today. She is now having an MRI scan in the next hour. Obviously more going on than was first thought. :(

You must be so worried but its good to get these investigations done rather than being fobbed off. Good luck Tiny's Mum

Hi Tinyshoes, Sorry to hear that mum has to have and MRI, such a worry I know. My fingers are crossed for you and mum :A

Thanks guys, I know that she has done very well to still be with us 5 years on from secondary cancer diagnosis. I noticed her temperature was up again yesterday after week of and including intravenous antibiotics. They did say it was a bad infection and were trying to find exact one. I'm wondering now whether anything do to with the rods she has to support her spine. I guess immune system is not at all what it should be. To be honest she has suffered enough, actually welling up here. Sorry to bring the new thread down. :o

I hope everything will be ok for your mum. It sounds like she has been through such a lot. I hope she has the strength to fight off this infection.

    :)

    :o Finally caught up :o

Thank you to everyone who wished us a good holiday - it worked :T it was amazing :D

From the taxi arriving on time, then catching the ferry with 28 seconds to spare  loads of roadworks & cones on the A55 :( we were all watching the coach clock & the signposts to Holyhead & mentally working out how fast we would have to go :)
Stopped in Newry on way to Carrickfergus - found some gorgeous Ralph Lauren floral cotton shorts in TK Maxx but we didn't buy them as thought we could get them in another TK Maxx - no such luck :( Waving Hi to Elite in Newry ;);)
Did get a Portmeirion plate from the Exotic Botanic Garden range :D:D

I personally recommend that you go & visit the new Titanic Exhibition. For a start the building is unique. We arrived for a 'tour' but we were early so we were allowed to go 'free range' so pleased as it took us 2½ hours to explore the 4 floors. There is a 'ride' through the steelworks. A film of the wreck. A glass floor over the 'wreck'. Lots of interactive stuff to do. Marvellous. Do book a morning tour as when we finished the place was heaving. Oh & the Cafe Bistro has the biggest cakes I've ever seen
We had a boat trip around the dockyard - again superb :D

Took an evening stroll to a Mr T Extra & it was overwhelmingly HUGE :eek::eek: I was in awe. I can see how the Elite can get such fab stuff as it had everything. Only managed to get some Sarah Smith 40 wipes packs.
:T Oh I did get Bensons Titanic Teabags to bring home for everyone. They were £4.99 in Titanic Store & Tourist shops but only £2.29 in Mr T's :D:D:D
Discovered 'Fifteens' & Tayto crisps :j:j
The Giants Causeway was definitely the 8th wonder of the world. Incredible. Saw someone fall & be taken away by ambulance :eek: it seems this is a daily occurence as people don't wear suitable footwear :( Also I didn't realise there would be so so many other visitors on the Causeway :o:o What the summer must be like - more people than rocks :rotfl::rotfl:
On thursday we caught the local bus into Belfast & did a sightseeing open top bus tour - brilliant except it was raining & cold but Fourp & I sat it out in our Titanoraks :D
:) Also went up into the Dome - what a view :T:T Huge thank you to the NI Elite for all the helpful tips that I took with me ♥
Primark was tidy  not a thing on the floor :T

Hotel was lovely & food fab - we came second in the Hotel Quiz night & we had a free bar every night with constant pints of dreamy Guinness ♥
