  • Practical test : typing out minutes from meetings, correcting a letter for spelling and grammar were a couple of things our school did

Writing sums in excel? Sorting data? Producing a graph?
    Depends what you'll be doing.
  • Give them a ring and ask. It'll give you a chance to have a natter with someone who works there, and maybe make you stick out in their minds when it comes to interview.

As above it depends on what you would be expected to do in the job. I expect wantnomoneyworries and Alybea are close to the mark as letters to parents, data entry etc have to be spot on as I find they aren't well proof read by heads/teachers etc as they are busy! But it's nothing to worry about, they aren't trying to trip you up. House*Fairy is right. Give them a ring and ask. Good luck and well done on the interview. That's no mean feat in itself!
;);) Better to say nothing and look a fool than to speak and remove all doubt :D:D
