I need to buy a Transit van and learn how to pee in a bucket. It's cheaper.

It's a bag, Pastures, that is then left in the library/property you're renting of your choice ;)

LIR will tell you more :D

On top of these huge costs the rents and service charge go up by RPI. With the increases in mortgage rates these properties are completely unaffordable. I think the developers who have to build 20% affordable housing on their developments are taking liberties.

While market values of rents and house prices in London are rising far faster than RPI

    What increases in mortgage rates?

BOE rate is only likely to go down, and fixed rates are falling.

Then again you thought that house prices would fall 50% by Christmas 2009 and that gold would soar from when you bought in last August.

How did that work out for you?

    Figues are quite interesting..

If they are assuming the 2.3k consists of a 3.5% mortgage on 175k (25%), thats about £1374 left for rent on 525k's worth of flat, about 3%.

Might not be that bad a deal - does anyone know what a flat like that rents for on the open market?
