Uses for smallish plastic bags?

My DH goes to the gym at least 4 or 5 times per week, and always brings his wet shorts home in one of the wee plastic bags which they provide.
They would be about the size of say, a large sandwich or freezer bag, with handles.
Now, I usually just bin them, or, if I remember, I take them to supermarket recycling bag bin, but just can't think of a use for them at home!
I can't use them for food, because, as I say, they have had wet shorts in them.
Any ideas out there?

Now, that's a great idea. I have a couple of neighbours with dogs.

Keep one in your handbag to put your wet brolly in if you're out and about when it's raining. It's easier than carrying a dripping brolly if you're in shops etc.

Could hubby not just re-use the same one each day rather than bringing new ones home all the time?

Dry it out overnight then re-pack in his gym bag next morning? Use til it breaks.

    Much better for the environment!

I save and re-use those bags you get for fruit and veg in supermarkets in my food waste box (I don't put them in the big food waste wheelie-bin.) and for the contents of my vacuum cleaner.

I always keep a couple of small bags in the car glove compartment. Useful for apple cores, banana skins etc which I deposit straight into our wheelie bin when I get out of the car instead of leaving rubbish to fester...:o:eek:

I am not aware of these bags, but I second the dog owner tip. As I don't have a dog I'd use them as bin bags.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I doubt if my dh would re-use them at the gym. He pays a fair whack for membership, so sees it as his right to use them and leaves me to worry about the environment! (don't ask)
I love the idea of using them in my wee bathroom bin. They would work in the wee wastebins in the bedrooms too. And definitely gonna snaffle some for the glove box in the car, and for my handbag for sticky papers and the wee bits of rubbish that invariably get handed to me when I am out. (Have to say, I always just give the kids an, ahem, look, and say 'What am I? A bin?').
