sequestration

in Bankruptcy & living with it
My Trust deed which I have defaulted has ordered via the court a petition for sequestration. If I wish to appeal I should turn up at court at the stated time. I am no appealing this at all. I have an appointment with the Citiziens Advice on Wednesday. I am just wondering what happens next?

    Hi ND, I think the OP is not appealing it but wants to know what happens in court etc and what to be aware of. :think:

    If you don't wish to appeal sequestration will be awarded in your abscence.

    Most likely the Accountant in Bankruptcy will be appoint Trustee and either them or one of their agent IP firms will contact you and request you attend a meeting etc.

    You need to speak to your insolvency practitioner (I.P) and discuss a new payment plan, but if you have not been in contact and not making your payments, then sequestration is likely. You can read more here http://www.trust-deed.com/faq/

    As long as they think you're being genuine and honest then you stand a chance.
