Hi everyone. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, so Administrators feel free to move, if need be, thanks.
Right we sold a car 12 months ago, and I sent off the log book. We were moving house shortly after and never thought any more of it. I didn't re-direct our post (stupid I know) I just told everyone I needed to and that was that.
We have now had a Court bailiff turn up today with a Warrant Arrest saying that we owe £280.00 for not informing the DVLA that we sold the car!
I didn't send the form recorded, I only wish I had now, but then hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Firstly how can I prove that I sent it off?? We need to go to Court and basically the bailiff said its just who the Judge belives on the day - great. We can't afford this, we are on the breadline as it is. I can't get a job for love nor money and we just don't know what to do now.
Can anyone please help? Thank you.
