2. Promotion Period

The Promotion will be open from 12:00:01 June 25, 2012 BST and will end when 10,000 vouchers have been awarded or on 17:59:59 June 29, 2012 BST, whichever is earlier. ("Promotion Period").

3. Eligibility

All residents of the United Kingdom who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, and have a valid Facebook account, are eligible to enter. Employees (and their families) of eBay, affiliates, subsidiary companies, representatives or agents of those companies and anyone else who may have be professionally involved with the Promotion are not eligible to enter.

The user must have established a link to the eBay.co.uk Facebook Page on Facebook. This means that the user needs to have clicked the "Like" button for the eBay.co.uk Facebook Page ("User").

It is necessary to have an eBay account in order to enter the Promotion. If you do not have an eBay account, you may register for one here - https://scgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?RegisterEnterInfo.

4. Procedure

Users will be able to access the Promotion app via a tab on the eBay.co.uk Facebook page or through the app’s URL if this has been shared. Selected Users will also be exposed to a Facebook advertisement. On clicking this advertisement, they will be taken to the Promotion app. Once on the app page, Users must click on the ‘Enter Details’ button and then submit their first name, last name, email address, date of birth and eBay user ID.

Each User who fulfills the eligibility criteria under clause 3 above and who successfully completes the procedure described in this clause 4 will be an "eligible entrant".

If the User is unable to click on the ‘Enter Details’ button, this may be because the Promotion has ended.

5. Criteria for Determining Winners

There are a maximum of 10,000 vouchers available. These will be awarded to the eligible entrants on a first come first served basis.

6. Prizes

The first 10,000 eligible entrants will receive an eBay voucher worth a maximum of £10. Only one voucher per person will be issued. The use of your voucher must comply with eBay’s user agreements and eBay´s terms & conditions/policies. Additional terms and conditions will apply to the use of the voucher and these will be communicated to you when you receive the voucher.

No cash payment, exchange or transfer/assignment of a prize is permitted.

7. Claiming the prize

It is not necessary to have a PayPal account in order to enter the Promotion but it is necessary in order to use the voucher. eBay reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants.


The vouchers will be delivered on 10[/FONT][/FONT][FONT=Calibri,Calibri][FONT=Calibri,Calibri]th [/FONT][/FONT][FONT=Calibri,Calibri][FONT=Calibri,Calibri]July 2012. Notification of the voucher will be sent to the e-mail address associated with the eBay ID that the eligible entrant submitted when entering the Promotion. The voucher will also be available in the ‘My eBay’ section of the eligible entrant’s eBay account. [/FONT][/FONT][FONT=Calibri,Calibri][FONT=Calibri,Calibri]
If the eBay user ID submitted at the time of entry to the Promotion is invalid, the eligible entrant will lose any and all entitlement to the prize.

Please note that the voucher must be redeemed by 23:59:59 BST, July 16 2012.

8. Exclusion From Participation

Any attempt to manipulate the Promotion, particularly by using automatic mechanisms such as scripts or anything similar is prohibited and will result in exclusion from participation.

If eBay has suspicions or knowledge that any entrant has been involved in any fraudulent or illegal activity, eBay reserves the right to disqualify that entrant and any related entrants.

eBay reserves the right to disqualify participants who do not comply with these entry conditions. Participants whose Facebook account is blocked, closed or restricted or becomes blocked, closed or restricted during the Promotion Period are or will be excluded from participating.

9. Data Use, Data Privacy Protection

All personal data collected from a participant (name, e-mail address, date of birth and eBay user ID) will be collected, processed and stored solely for the purpose of the conducting of the Promotion by Essence Digital. After completion of the Promotion, all personal data in the possession of Essence Digital Limited will be deleted without delay.

10. Limitation of liability

eBay makes no representations or warranties of any kind regarding any product or service provided by any third party in connection with any Promotion.

eBay shall not be liable, in contract or tort (including negligence) or the breach of statutory duty or in any other way, for the loss or damage howsoever arising suffered by the entrant resulting directly or indirectly from entry to this Promotion. Nothing in these terms shall limit eBay's liability for death, personal injury or fraud.

eBay will not be responsible for any third party's performance or failure to perform any services related to any Promotion, or for any costs, damages, accident, delay, injury, loss, expense, or inconvenience that may arise in connection with the use of the Promotion, provided that nothing shall limit eBay's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence.
