I didn't realise yours was so soon! Hopefully all the questions you've had recently will now be answered and you can be reassured. I will be interested to hear how it went, with mine in two days."Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." Dalai Lama0

I find it really bizarre that you are going to court because you've got no money yet they want you to pay £700 each, my husband and I both went BR at the same time so we pad £1400. He had only just returned to work following redundancy and has yet to have a wage since the end of April (even that was only half his usual pay) yet we still had to pay this ridculous amount of money. We've put some forms into the court to see if we can get a rebate as the court clerk suggested. Worth a try I suppose.0

I was expecting it to be a few weeks after the BR, went BR 15/06, spoke to the OR the same day over the phone at court and booked the appointment. At least it will be out of the way and then I can get on with everything. I've heard though that I might not find out if we get put into an IPA for a few months though. By that time my essential expenditure will have changed because I am due baby no 3 in 5 weeks!! I'll post once I've finished.0 -
I hope it all goes well. I too hope to be raising the funds and start to put the sorry mess I have gotten myself into behind me.
Wil be very interested in how it goes.

Well that was pretty painless to be honest.
I was happy with the response regarding our house as he says they have no interest in it at the moment as it stands in negative equity and it will be dealt with in approx 2 years, even then for us to be forced to sell it the equity would have to increase by over 20k which I can't see happening. I may be forced to eat my words here though!!
Discussed creditors, didn't go into too much detail, he was most interested in my significant creditors for example the ones I owed the most money to. Tne credit cards with small balances (1.5k) he wasn't too interested in discussing.
Budget, he was pretty fair with it, because my earnings are only from maternity allowance and child benefit the money which I contribute isn't taken into consideration for my own IPA but for my husbands he has to be responsible for 73% of the household expenditure. Even on some things where he thought I was a little high he was happy to go with it, I've just got to provide receipts for shopping to prove how much I'm spending currently. He hasn't done our budget properly though because I am due another baby and it will change within the next few weeks and we are not 100% sure on what my husbands wage will be because he has only just started his job.
All I will say is don't panic and just be honest, he was really friendly and didn't look down his nose at me like I thought he might.0 -
I'm glad it went well Lisa and it's never as good as we wish but never as bad as we fear. Hope you can have a drink tonight
